Operate Centre Wellington wastewater and stormwater systems using SCADA checks, equipment maintenance, and emergency repair skills. This role includes on-call rotations.

Reporting to the Manager of Wastewater Services, the Wastewater Operator maintains treatment plants, pumping stations, mains, forcemains, and related systems. Duties include monitoring equipment, adjusting treatment processes, completing repairs, and supporting contractors. The position also participates in public service, records administration, sampling, and required training.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate sanitary, stormwater, and low pressure sewer systems
- Complete daily plant and SCADA equipment checks
- Inspect and repair wastewater and stormwater infrastructure
- Maintain operational records, journals, files,



and data
- Respond to public questions and conduct facility tours

Requirements:

- Secondary School Diploma
- Wastewater Treatment and Collection Operator-in-Training licenses
- Three years’ related operations experience considered an asset
- Valid Class G license and clean driver’s abstract
- Basic hydraulics, electricity, hydrology, and chemistry understanding

Support Centre Wellington operations through wastewater treatment, collection-system maintenance, SCADA monitoring, and accurate technical records.
