This Child and Youth Care Worker position supports children and youth with complex behavioural, emotional, and trauma-related needs. You will understand behaviour as communication, build meaningful relationships, and provide consistent emotional support. The role combines individualized care, crisis intervention, life-skills teaching, documentation, and collaboration with Program Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized care tailored to each youth’s needs
• Respond therapeutically to aggression, withdrawal,
  
  
  
  or dysregulation
• Support emotional regulation through patience and consistency
• Create joy through games, cooking, and life skills
• Maintain detailed daily documentation and observations

Requirements:

• Experience in youth care or related fields is an asset
• Ability to understand behaviour as communication
• Ability to balance playfulness with firm boundaries
• Clear criminal and intervention record checks
