Support wastewater collection infrastructure in Medicine Hat as an in office, temporary, full time Water and Sewer Systems Operator. Use troubleshooting, maintenance, and safety skills.

This Level II assignment reports to the Supervisor of Field Operations and lasts up to six months. The work covers wastewater collection and water distribution systems, including installation, operation, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis. Public communication and accurate records are also important.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain wastewater collection and water distribution systems
- Assist with infrastructure installation and repair
- Diagnose faults to support service continuity
- Maintain tools and department equipment safely
- Support junior operator training when appropriate

Requirements:

- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
- Knowledge of water and wastewater repair practices
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Valid Class 3 Alberta licence with air endorsement
- Satisfactory pre-employment drug screen required
