Support children’s programs as a Kitchen Assistant at BGC Kawarthas, preparing protected meals and snacks while respecting allergies and dietary needs. Help maintain welcoming food service.

This Assistant Cook contributes to daily meal service for children across BGC Kawarthas programs. You will work with educators, kitchen staff, leaders, and program teams while supporting food preparation and kitchen operations. Cleaning, sanitation, inventory, and food storage are also part of the work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
- Follow established menus and food safety practices
- Maintain kitchen cleaning, sanitation, inventory, and storage
- Collaborate with program teams to support children




- Follow BGC Kawarthas health and safety procedures

Requirements:

- Reliable, team-oriented approach to daily kitchen responsibilities
- Food service, cooking, preparation, or related experience
- Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain
- First Aid and CPR Level C or willingness to obtain
- Child care, school, community, or institutional food service experience is an asset
