The Government of Nunavut Custodian maintains a secure, comfortable, and sanitary school. This work supports student success and a pleasant workplace for staff. Responsibilities include preparing occupancy, securing the building, cleaning, safety, supplies, basic maintenance, building operation,



and summer duties.

Main responsibilities:

• Ready the school building for occupancy each day
• Secure the building at the end of each day
• Maintain clean and safe conditions daily and weekly
• Assist with supplies and basic building maintenance
• Support safe and secure school operations

Requirements:

• Grade 6 education or equivalent life experience
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required
• Eligibility restricted to all Nunavut Inuit
• Knowledge of Inuit communities and culture considered an asset
