Handle trailer movement and package operations in a seasonal FedEx position requiring secure driving and physical work. The schedule is Friday through Tuesday, 3:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
As a Switcher, you will move trailers throughout the yard and to unload or load doors. You may also load and unload delivery vehicles, trailers, conveyor carts, and load gratings. Package duties require continuous lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, plus scanning and sorting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Move trailers to designated unload and load doors
- Transport trailers throughout the yard safely
- Load packages onto delivery vehicles and trailers
- Unload packages from conveyor carts and gratings
- Determine conveyor systems and sort packages
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Preferred six months as a package handler
- Preferred switching or commercial driver operator experience
- Quebec applicants must speak French and English
