SDRC is the single point of access to developmental services for children in the Region of Waterloo. SDRC provides case management and clinical services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders and assists them and their caregivers in connecting with community services and supports. SDRC’s services are available to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Waterloo Region.We are inviting applications for the position ofClinical Consultant. The role requires adaptable 37.5 hours per week, some evening work, and travel throughout the Waterloo Region. The successful candidate will prepare and help implement comprehensive behavioural/functional assessments and intervention strategies, under the supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (ONT), to assist individuals with an intellectual disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. The work involves a teaching/training function for families and agencies supporting these individuals in a variety of community settings using a mediator model, and the candidate will also run behaviour workshops on a variety of topics.QualificationsDegree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology or another related health profession,



supplemented by several years of broad-based clinical experience serving people with an intellectual disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder.Experience with intellectual disabilities/Autism Spectrum Disorders and familiarity with its impact on all aspects of functioning.Familiarity with the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, Child, Youth and Family Services Act, and other federal and provincial legislations, directives and guidelines, corporation bylaws, policies and procedures.Experience with dual diagnosis is a definite asset.Experience working with families.Excellent consulting and oral/written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and at least two years’ experience using a consultative model in a community setting, as well as experience in teaching/training.Emergency First Aid and CPR required (or must be prepared to obtain).Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.Please forward a resume and cover letter no later than July 13, 2026 at 4:30pm.Sunbeam is an equal opportunity employer, and we value the importance of diversity, dignity and worth of every individual in the workplace.
