Support children through play-based programming with Waterloo Region District School Board as a Before and After School Support employee. Work alongside a Designated Early Childhood Educator.

This long-term occasional position supports students from junior kindergarten through grade 6 in WRDSB’s Before and After school program. You will follow DECE guidance while supporting exploration, positive interactions, self-regulation, and inclusive learning experiences. The work includes indoor and outdoor play, active play, rest, and quiet time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Follow DECE guidance in the extended day classroom
- Support children’s play, exploration, inquiry, and communication
- Foster positive parent and program communication
- Support inclusive environments, health, safety, nutrition,



and well-being
- Follow licensing, Public Health, First Aid, and Emergency procedures

Requirements:

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational attainment
- Experience supervising and supporting children positively and safely
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED
- Willingness to obtain required First Aid training
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check and health assessment
