Position OverviewKiewit is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our team. Surveyors at Kiewit provide accurate and reliable surveying services for various infrastructure and construction projects across the West Coast. The role requires extensive experience in construction surveying, including earthwork, structural layouts, and utility placements, and involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure all measurements and layouts are precise and meet project specifications.LocationWestern Canada District – headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia. Projects are spread across the entire West Coast of Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, and the United States. Frequent and rotational travel to project sites is required.ResponsibilitiesConduct field surveys for various construction projects, including topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys.Perform accurate calculations and data collection for project layouts, including staking for grading, utilities, and structural elements.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to interpret survey data and ensure accurate implementation.Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS systems, and levels, ensuring instruments are calibrated and in good working condition.Prepare and maintain detailed survey records, including field notes, sketches, maps, and reports.Assist in the preparation of as-built surveys and documentation to meet client and regulatory requirements.Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures,
