Support recreation campus maintenance in Fort St. John as a regular part time Facilities Labourer using custodial and equipment skills. Varied shifts include evenings and weekends.

Working within the Facilities Department, you will perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks supporting operational maintenance, equipment repair, custodial care, and facility security. Duties cover ice plants, pools, indoor turf, public facilities, events, and building inspections. The position works under an assigned supervisor without supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete refrigeration plant checks and maintain ice plant records
• Perform ice flooding, pool maintenance, and indoor turf duties
• Open, secure, inspect, and prepare recreation facilities
• Perform custodial care, snow removal,
  
  
  
  and supply movement
• Answer public questions and enforce facility policies

Requirements:

• High school graduation or equivalent education
• Valid refrigeration safety certificate recognized under British Columbia legislation
• Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver’s licence
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain within four months
• Ability to lift 25 kilograms and perform extended heavy tasks
