About the Position Typical responsibilities of a Tradesperson include: • fabricating materials (metalworking) and performing non-journeyperson work including general building repairs and maintenance to improve the safety, appearance, and function of facilities. • performing groundskeeping in the Battlefords: grass cutting in the summer and snow clearing in the winter. • performing safety inspections of playground equipment, industrial art shops, and fire extinguishers. • delivering facilities materials and supplies that require special care or timely delivery. • performing door hardware installation, maintenance, repair, and adjustment work,



including basic locksmith duties such as lock changes, rekeying, and troubleshooting access issues. • helping facilities journeypersons with project work.

Qualifications • Proven mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. • Intermediate skills in welding, machining, or metalworking obtained through formal or informal training. • Valid Class 5 driver’s license. • Ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects on a regular basis. • Ability to work at heights while adhering to all safety requirements.
