Operate residential waste collection routes for Miller Waste Systems in Ottawa, using a valid DZ licence and safe handling practices. This permanent full-time role starts at 6:30am, Monday to Friday.
As a DZ Driver/Picker, you will collect yard waste, recycling, green bins, and residential garbage. You will follow schedules, deliver materials appropriately, and provide courteous community service. The position reports to the Route Supervisor at 145 Walgreen Road.
Key Responsibilities: Collect residential yard waste, recycling, and garbage
Follow collection and delivery schedules efficiently
Deliver waste to transfer stations, compost facilities, or landfills
Return emptied receptacles to residents’ properties
Lift loads weighing up to 50 pounds
Requirements: Valid DZ Driver’s Licence
Clean driver’s abstract with no preventable accidents last year
Strong organizational skills and communication abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexibility for varying hours, Saturdays, weekends, and holidays
Bring protected driving, organized route execution, and respectful customer service to Miller Waste’s Ottawa residential collection operations.
