Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer for an initial 12-month contract with potential for extension to support a major greenfield mining project in northern Saskatchewan.

The successful candidate will serve as a senior owner-side technical reviewer, evaluating electrical engineering deliverables produced by Engineering Service Providers, EPC/EPCM firms, consultants, and vendors.

Responsibilities include reviewing electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, specifications, data sheets, wiring information, and engineering packages against project requirements, design criteria, applicable codes and standards, and multidisciplinary interfaces.

This individual will identify technical deficiencies, provide comments and redlines, challenge engineering providers where required, and drive issues through resolution to support construction and execution readiness.

Project-related travel may be required.

The successful candidate must hold a P.

Eng. designation in the Canadian province where they will be stationed.

Skills and Requirements • 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience within mining, mineral processing, heavy industrial, or comparable large-scale capital project environments • Professional Engineer (P.

Eng.) designation in the Canadian province where the individual will be stationed • Demonstrated experience working in an owner-side engineering, Owner's Engineer, Integrated Project Team, EPC/EPCM,



or comparable technical assurance environment • Proven experience independently reviewing electrical engineering deliverables produced by EPC/EPCM firms, Engineering Service Providers, consultants, or vendors • Strong experience reviewing electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, specifications, data sheets, wiring information, and multidisciplinary engineering packages • Demonstrated ability to identify design deficiencies, provide technically sound comments/redlines, and work with engineering providers through comment resolution and closeout • Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes, standards, design criteria, and engineering practices within industrial project environments • Experience coordinating electrical engineering requirements and interfaces with other engineering disciplines • Sufficient technical depth and seniority to independently challenge engineering-provider work and represent the owner's technical requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical deficiencies and requirements to consultants, vendors,



and multidisciplinary project stakeholders • Direct experience supporting mining or mineral-processing projects • Experience with underground mining electrical infrastructure • Experience on large-scale greenfield capital projects • Previous experience representing an owner while reviewing EPC/EPCM or consultant-produced electrical packages • Experience with electrical distribution systems, substations, switchgear, MCCs, grounding, protection and control, cable schedules, and load lists • Experience reviewing vendor engineering and equipment packages • Experience with electrical protection studies and other power-system studies • Experience progressing engineering packages from design review through construction/execution readiness • Experience working within large, multidisciplinary engineering programs Saskatchewan APEGS registration or eligibility, if ultimately required for the position We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
