Support acute care patients as a Health Care Attendant at Whitehorse General Hospital, working on-site in a regular part-time capacity.
Reporting to the Clinical Care Manager, this medical surgical position provides direct care under the duty Nurse's supervision. The work supports patients' physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, with a focus on independence, quality of life, and safe care.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care to acute care patients
Follow duty Nurse supervision during patient care
Support physical and emotional patient needs
Help meet spiritual and cultural needs
Contribute to clean, safe patient environments
Requirements: Knowledge of physical and psychological illness-related changes
Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments
Ability to work independently and within teams
Role-specific training or two to three years' experience
Food Secure Level 1 certificate desired
Bring patient assistance, teamwork, and illness-related knowledge to acute care services at Whitehorse General Hospital.
