Support student growth at Glenwood School as a Special Needs Educational Assistant, applying behavioural strategies and instructional programming. This term position serves students in diverse environments.
The Educational Assistant supports students’ physical, social, academic, and behavioural well-being. You will reinforce life skills, implement student-specific plans, assist instructional programming, and provide care and supervision. The position works under school administration, classroom and student service teachers, and clinicians.
Key Responsibilities: Support skills development and foster student independence
Implement student-specific plans and articulated programming
Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional time
Assist students with mobility and personal safety




Prepare materials and equipment for programming
Requirements: Educational Assistant diploma and two years’ experience with children
Experience supporting physical, cognitive, or behavioural challenges preferred
Complete required safety and violence prevention training
Demonstrate communication, rapport-building, and problem-solving abilities
Meet physical demands including lifting and transferring students
Bring student support, behavioural strategies, and instructional assistance to Glenwood School’s Special Needs Educational Assistant position.
