You will build trust before formal procurement, connect operational challenges to defensible business cases, and influence requirements before competitors. The role carries no formal management duties, while offering informal mentoring for a new sales team member supporting live pursuits. Success requires disciplined MEDDPICC funnel management, persuasive writing, public sector procurement knowledge, and comfort using AI tools responsibly.
Key Responsibilities: Identify utilities with aging systems and upcoming buying windows




Connect operational pain to compelling business cases
Apply MEDDPICC to qualify, forecast, and manage opportunities
Coordinate product, services, and finance proposal contributors
Use AI for research, RFPs, demos, and proposals
Requirements: Five or more years of quota-carrying software sales
Experience with CIS, billing, or enterprise software sales
Ability to influence procurement before RFP issuance
Clear, persuasive executive and technical proposal writing
Curiosity and hands-on initiative with AI tools
Use enterprise selling, public sector procurement, MEDDPICC, and AI-enabled workflows to grow Advanced Utility Systems’ municipal customer base.
