The City of Sarnia seeks an experienced Licensed Mechanic for its full time permanent Public Works department. Reporting to the Fleet Superintendent, you will support Engineering & Operations through vehicle repairs, certification, and required administration. The work follows manufacturer, MTO, and CVOR requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance on City vehicles
Inspect vehicles against manufacturer, MTO, and CVOR requirements
Troubleshoot and repair service vehicles
Complete vehicle certification and required administrative duties
Perform fabrication, welding, decal, and light body repairs
Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent
Valid Class G Licence with acceptable abstract
310T Mechanic’s Licence required
Heavy-duty truck troubleshooting program familiarity
Ozone Depletion Prevention Card within six months
