Unity Health Toronto Respiratory Therapists monitor, evaluate, and treat newborn, pediatric, and adult patients. The work spans inpatient wards, intensive care units, and emergency care. Key Responsibilities: Manage care for mechanically ventilated patients
Assess and modify ventilation using weaning guidelines
Perform airway management, intubation, and extubation
Support neonatal resuscitation and high-risk deliveries
Collaborate on comprehensive interprofessional patient care
Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Current Ontario Respiratory Therapist license in positive standing
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Obtain Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within one year
