This senior role focuses on CG visualization of storyboard animatics within an animation or film production setting. You will establish camera blocking, composition, and lens choices while supporting directors’ creative vision. The position also includes mentoring artists, guiding previs assignments, and troubleshooting shots.
Key Responsibilities: Visualize storyboard animatics in a CG environment
Establish camera blocking, composition, and lens choices
Provide coverage options to directors with the Layout Supervisor
Identify creative and technical problems in shots
Mentor new Layout Artists and answer team questions
Requirements: Three or more years in animation or film
Solid knowledge of Maya is essential
Ability to interpret storyboards in CG
Understanding of cinematography, staging, pacing, and timing
Strong communication and time management abilities
Bring Maya expertise, camera knowledge, and mentoring ability to WildBrain Studios’ senior CG layout team.
