This permanent casual position serves residents and visitors in a long-term care setting. You will prepare and serve varied foods, operate dietary equipment, and maintain clean dining areas. The work follows Ministry of Health, Public Health, and departmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and serve meals, snacks, desserts, and beverages
Follow prescribed diets and meal textures for residents
Operate, clean, and sanitize dietary equipment
Discuss meal requirements with health care team members
Record quality assurance information and report unmet criteria
Requirements: Secondary School Diploma or equivalent education
Completed or enrolled in an Ontario Food Services Worker program
Food Services Worker enrollment required to start
Safe Food Handling Certificate from Public Health
Knowledge of geriatric nutrition and sanitation techniques
Bring food preparation, dietary service, and sanitation knowledge to support residents at Riverview Gardens.
