Vice President of Construction

Lower Mainland, BC (in office) | Permanent, Full-Time

$225-285K + Bonus

A well-established and growing general contractor in the Lower Mainland is seeking a Vice President of Construction to join its senior leadership team. This GC runs a diverse portfolio of active projects across multiple sectors.

This is a pivotal leadership role for a credible, people-focused construction leader who wants to lift the performance of a strong team, champion change, and grow into broader executive leadership.

What you’ll do
Lead all project delivery and field operations
Coach and develop the team with strong accountability and high engagement
Champion change: redesign the operational structure, standardize processes and systems, and introduce current ways of working
Oversee delivery and risk across the project portfolio, and review major contracts
Support pre-construction and business development as the senior operations expert in front of clients
Build trust across the organization and develop the next generation of construction leaders
Partner with the President and leadership team on strategy





What you bring
Senior general contractor experience in BC, with deep project management credibility that earns the respect of PMs and site teams
A strong understanding of BC construction legislation, contract types
Proven ability to lead and coach all levels of the team
A track record of leading change, including restructures, current systems or process improvements
Executive presence, with an optimistic, collaborative and ego-free leadership style
Comfort working with clients, pre-construction teams and at industry events
Current VPs, Directors and Senior Directors of Construction are encouraged to apply
