Lead hands-on health, safety and environmental activities at Cap West Group’s Coquitlam yard, supporting manufacturing, warehouse, shop, and equipment operations.As Assistant HSE Manager, you will oversee daily HSE activities across fixed-facility and industrial operations. You will support managers, supervisors, and workers through hazard assessments, inspections, documentation, corrective actions, and safety programs. The position also provides HSE oversight to manufacturing operations in Chilliwack while supporting the Group HSE Management System and COR preparation.Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day HSE leadership across Coquitlam yard operationsSupport Chilliwack manufacturing oversight and operational safety programsConduct inspections, hazard assessments,



and compliance reviewsTrack corrective actions through completion and verify resultsSupport incident investigations, emergency preparedness, and training activitiesRequirements:
OHS certificate, diploma, or equivalent education and experienceMinimum five years’ progressive health and safety experienceWorking knowledge of WorkSafeBC and British Columbia requirementsExperience with inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigationsValid Class 5 licence and ability to travel between locationsApply practical HSE leadership, hazard control, and follow-up skills across Cap West Group’s Coquitlam and Chilliwack operations.
