The officer may receive custody of individuals awaiting involuntary medical examination or psychiatric assessment.
Key Responsibilities: Support protected and secure healthcare environments
Protect vulnerable mental health patients and care teams
De-escalate events involving uncooperative, hostile, or violent persons




Secure and protect patients during assessments
Receive custody of individuals under applicable Mental Health Act processes
Requirements: Complete the QPSO Training Program and annual retraining
Maintain a valid Manitoba Security Guard License
Complete Grade 12 or equivalent
Pass physical abilities testing and regular retesting
Hold a valid Class 5 Manitoba driver's license
