CESSCO Fabrication and Engineering seeks a full time Metal Fabricator (Fitter) for its fabrication shop team. The work includes structural steel, heavy plate, and pressure vessel fabrication. Qualified structural steel fitters can train in pressure vessel techniques when they demonstrate layout, blueprint reading, and fit-up skills.
Key Responsibilities: Read engineered fabrication drawings and interpret weld symbols
Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components
Fabricate tanks, shells, heads, and nozzles
Perform measurements, alignment, and dimensional checks
Prepare components through cutting,



grinding, beveling, and tack welding
Requirements: Journeyperson Metal Fabricator certification or equivalent practical experience
Structural steel or heavy plate fabrication background
Ability to perform layout and accurate fit-ups independently
Experience with overhead cranes and rigging
Willingness to learn pressure vessel fabrication techniques
Bring reliable layout, fit-up, and drawing interpretation skills to CESSCO's Edmonton fabrication team while developing pressure vessel expertise.
