Support Edmonton youth through trauma-informed counselling and wellness navigation at YESS, working onsite full time across evenings and weekends.
As Wellness Counsellor and Youth Engagement Navigator, you will provide individualized, youth-centered support within shelter and recovery programming. Your work combines counselling, intake and triage, recovery support, and program navigation. You will help youth experiencing trauma, mental health challenges, substance use concerns, or housing instability.
Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one supportive and short-cycle counselling
Conduct holistic wellness assessments and risk triage
Facilitate recovery meetings and wellness check-ins
Connect youth with internal and external supports




Maintain timely case notes and program documentation
Requirements: Relevant diploma, degree, or certification
Minimum two years working with youth or social services
Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
Motivational interviewing and short-session counselling experience
Valid First Aid and required background checks
Bring counselling, recovery support, assessment, and youth engagement experience to YESS’s Edmonton-based onsite wellness team.
