This Heavy Duty Mechanic role supports Falcon Equipment customers through equipment installation, assembly, maintenance, repair, and testing. The focus includes truck-mounted cranes, snow and ice equipment, and rail equipment. Candidates may bring related heavy-duty, hydraulic, automotive, marine, crane, elevator, or millwright experience.
Key Responsibilities: Assemble and install customer equipment
Perform maintenance on various heavy equipment
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic equipment systems
Test truck-mounted cranes and rail equipment
Perform other duties as required
Requirements: Three or more years of related installation or maintenance experience
Solid mechanical skills and schematic-reading ability
Hydraulic and electrical knowledge
Ability to work independently around heavy equipment
Own tools and welding experience considered an asset
Support Falcon Equipment’s Nanaimo customers with hydraulic service, equipment testing, mechanical repairs, and schematic interpretation.
