Support GFL Environmental operations throughout Northern Ontario by verifying compliance, conducting inspections, and guiding EHS programs across multiple sites. Travel is 30%.
This Environmental Health and Safety Advisor serves as a liaison between EHS and Operations. You will monitor legislation, support customer compliance programs, and contribute to COR, ISO45001, subcontractor management, and Return to Work programs. The role combines office and field work.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor compliance with applicable health and safety legislation
Guide customer program compliance through review and verification
Support COR and ISO45001 program administration
Assist onboarding and orientations with EHS guidance




Participate in client and project meetings as required
Requirements: Three to five-plus years in in office EHS support or advisory work
Required experience in Waste Management, Transportation, or Mining
Related Health and Safety education or certification preferred
Google Workspace exposure considered an asset
Ability to influence, guide, and support Operations
Apply environmental health and safety expertise to legislation, customer programs, audits, and operational alignment across Northern Ontario.
