Deliver resident care at AgeCare Shawnee in Calgary as a Health Care Aide using safe transfers and thorough personal support. This temporary full time role supports resident comfort.
As a Health Care Aide, you will collaborate with the care team under Licensed Practical Nurse supervision. You will provide basic care and services while following care plans, water temperature procedures, transfer controls, and Personal Protective Equipment requirements. AgeCare Shawnee is located at 50 Shawnee St SW, Calgary.
Key Responsibilities: Bath, shower, and wash residents safely
Assist transfers using ceiling and mechanical lifts
Feed residents and follow prescribed dietary plans
Provide routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
Escort residents to meals, therapy, and recreation
Requirements: Recognized PCA or HCA 2002 certificate course completion
Active CLHA registration required
Fluent English communication, orally and in writing
One year continuing care experience preferred
Post-secondary education considered an asset
Support AgeCare residents with personal care, safe mobility, feeding, and compassionate daily services at Shawnee in Calgary.
