Support adults with complex mental health needs as a Carewest Physiotherapist in Calgary’s Bridgeland Riverside Care Centre. Days, part time.
This Physical Therapist I position delivers care within complex mental health programs serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness. You will provide focused assessment, treatment, and discharge planning across rehabilitation and recovery units. On continuing care units, you will assess interventions supporting safe, functional independence and quality of life. Carewest emphasizes person-directed, trauma-informed, harm-reduction care, with collaboration involving clients, families, support networks, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities: Support client care across rehabilitation and recovery units
Plan discharges following focused assessment and treatment
Maximize protected,



functional independence through appropriate interventions
Collaborate with clients, families, and support networks
Supervise support staff and students when required
Requirements: Recognized Master’s or Degree program in Physical Therapy
Required registration with Physiotherapy Alberta College & Associates
Experience with complex behavioral presentations is preferred
Trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice experience is preferred
Healthcare, continuing care, outreach, or community experience preferred
Use physiotherapy assessment and treatment expertise to support recovery, independence, and quality of life within Carewest’s specialized programs.
