The City of Edmonton seeks a Claims Adjuster I for its Insurance & Claims Management team within Legal Services. You will handle claims involving the City and Community Partners, investigate accidents, engage experts, and present settlement proposals for delegated approval. The position also supports litigation and risk control practices.
Key Responsibilities: Plan timely investigations of claims and accidents
Interview parties and secure oral and written statements
Mediate disputes and obtain property damage estimates
Oversee automobile and property appraisal services
Prepare large loss reports for approval
Requirements: Grade 12 High School Diploma or GED
Minimum two consecutive years of claims adjusting experience
Successful completion of four CIP program courses
Applicants may be tested during recruitment
Criminal Records Check satisfactory to Edmonton
