Covenant Health seeks a Registered Psychiatric Nurse for Emergency Mental Health at Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.
This temporary part time position supports patient and family care within a full-service hospital. You will provide assessments, individualized interventions, prescribed treatments, medication administration, and ongoing documentation. The assignment includes days, nights, and weekends, with care guided by Covenant Health standards, values, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Participate in nursing assessments and intervention planning
Implement treatments and administer prescribed medications
Monitor and document patient or resident responses
Act as advocate, coordinator, and patient liaison




Facilitate education and support discharge planning
Requirements: Recognized RN or RPN program graduate
Current registration with CRPNA and/or CRNA
Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Level C
One year addictions or mental health experience recently
Security screening completed before the first workday
Bring compassionate psychiatric nursing, treatment evaluation, and interdisciplinary coordination to Covenant Health’s Edmonton emergency mental health program.
