Foothills Medical Centre (FMC) is an Acute Care hospital with over 1,100 beds. It is the Trauma Centre for Southern Alberta, Eastern British Columbia and Western Saskatchewan. FMC has a Neuro Tertiary Unit as well as the majority of In-Patient Neurological services in Calgary.The present caseload for this position is in acute neuro, with the potential for coverage on any unit/service as required. psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work.Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months experience in an adult acute care setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience on an adult neurology unit within in the last year.
