Draft and negotiate commercial contracts as Counsel with Toronto Hydro in Toronto, using legal analysis, procurement, and technology transaction skills.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Law Services, this Counsel supports Toronto Hydro’s Supply Chain and internal client groups. The work covers commercial agreements, procurement contracts, privacy initiatives, technology matters, and other organizational needs. You will advise senior leaders and managers while managing competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, assess, and negotiate commercial contracts
Provide legal advice to client groups and leaders
Prepare procurement documents, including requests and tenders
Render interpretations of statutes, regulations,



and case law
Manage multiple matters with accuracy and responsiveness
Requirements: LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized law school
Good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
At least one year drafting and negotiating legal contracts
Effective judgment, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
Solid organization and attention to detail
Bring commercial contracting, procurement, and legal advisory experience to Toronto Hydro’s Business Law Services team in Toronto.
