This full time Registered Nurse position supports an acute hospital Emergency Department. Humber River Health provides six to eight weeks of training for nurses with medical surgical experience. The role emphasizes assessment, communication, patient teaching, critical thinking, and cooperative care.
Key Responsibilities: Perform Registered Nurse duties in an acute Emergency Department
Assess patients using strong physical assessment skills
Set priorities while delivering emergency nursing care
Teach patients and families about their care
Collaborate with diverse staff, patients, and families
Requirements: Current Ontario Registered Nurse registration in good standing
Three to six months of medical surgical experience
Current Emergency experience preferred; intensive care experience beneficial
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support and required emergency courses
