Reporting to the school Principal, you will support students with behavioural, safety, medical, and physical needs. The work includes individual and group settings, collaboration with teachers, parents, and Administration, and assistance for students with complex needs. The assignment is 1.0 FTE, totaling 32.50 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities: Support students’ behavioural, safety, medical, and physical needs
Lift, toilet, position, and transfer children and equipment
Apply Behaviour Management Systems techniques when required




Work individually or in group settings with students
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and Administration
Requirements: Educational Assistant Diploma or equivalent education and experience
Valid Behaviour Management Systems certification
Recent experience supporting special needs and behavioural disabilities
Autism Spectrum Disorder and lifting or positioning training
Ability to perform essential physical duties and attend schools
Bring empathy, student support experience, and Behaviour Management Systems certification to this Educational Assistant assignment at UGDSB.
