As a Food Service Worker with Niagara Region, you will support meal service in a long-term care home. Responsibilities include preparing meals and snacks, distributing food, managing supplies, and cleaning equipment. Applicants enrolled in an approved certificate program may be considered for an FSW I position.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare resident meals and snacks
Distribute and serve resident meals
Receive, store, and manage food supplies
Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment
Operate food service equipment and follow applicable standards
Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent completion
Food Service Worker certificate or legislated equivalent qualification
Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
Up to one month of related experience preferred
Ability to work varied shifts, evenings, nights, and weekends
