Prepare patient meals and support protected food service at Dogwood Care Home with Vancouver Coastal Health in Vancouver, British Columbia.
As a Food Services Worker, you will follow Food Safe protocols and quality standards within a client and family centered care model. Reporting to food services leadership, you will portion meals, prepare diet items, assemble sandwiches and salads, and check trays for dietary accuracy.
Key Responsibilities: Portion and serve patient and resident meals
Wash vegetables and fruit for food production
Prepare beverages, desserts, sandwiches, and salads
Clean dishes, equipment, wagons, floors, and storage areas
Deliver trays and replenish food and paper supplies
Requirements: Grade 10 and one year's related experience
Equivalent education, training, and experience may qualify
Food Safe Certificate Level 1
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Physical ability to perform position duties
Bring meal service, food preparation, cleaning, and communication skills to patient-centered operations at Dogwood Care Home.
