Support patient care through specimen collection and testing as a Laboratory Assistant Float at Dynacare, onsite in the western Greater Toronto Area.
This part time, one year contract provides 15 guaranteed hours weekly. You will help create reassuring patient experiences while obtaining samples, conducting tests, and completing accurate information. Your work supports Dynacare’s quality metrics, regulatory compliance, and established protocols.
Key Responsibilities: Create positive customer experiences during patient interactions
Use venipuncture techniques to obtain quality samples
Conduct urine, drug, and breath alcohol collections
Complete documentation for suitable and unsuitable specimens
Follow protocols for secure confidential information
Requirements: Laboratory Assistant training or Medical Lab Assistance course
Specialized training in phlebotomy
Customer-focused approach and genuine patient care
Ability to reassure anxious patients during collection
Detail orientation and deadline-based self-management
Apply patient-focused phlebotomy, accurate documentation, and calm communication skills across Dynacare’s onsite collection locations.
