This permanent full time position supports Stern Cohen’s Assurance Team. You will handle audit and review engagements, owner-managed compilations, and personal and corporate tax filings. The role reports to managers while serving partners, staff, and clients.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare planning documents and financial statements
Recognize accounting issues and develop solutions with managers
Complete compilation engagements for owner-managed businesses
Prepare personal and corporate tax returns
Train junior staff and mentor colleagues
Requirements: Two years of senior public accounting experience
Experience with mid-market and entrepreneurial clients preferred
Strong client service and relationship-building abilities
Excellent time management and communication skills
Proficiency with Caseware, TaxPrep, Microsoft Office, and Excel
Bring assurance, tax, client service, and accounting software expertise to Stern Cohen’s established Toronto practice.
