Operate lift trucks and heavy equipment as a Shop Labourer in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, supporting material handling operations through physical, hands-on work.
This full time daytime Shop Labourer contract runs Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role supports daily operations in a busy material handling environment. Duties include truck loading, machine cleaning, parts delivery, shop cleanliness, general labour, and building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities: Operate lift trucks and heavy equipment safely
Load and unload trucks during daily operations
Steam clean machines and deliver parts
Keep the shop clean and maintained
Support general labour and building maintenance
Requirements: Valid Class 5 licence and clean driver’s abstract
Valid forklift certification with lift truck experience
Previous industrial environment experience
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
CSA-approved steel-toed boots and safety awareness
