Support children and youth through safe gymnastics instruction, accurate feedback, and inclusive programming at the District of Saanich’s recreation centre.
As an Instructor I - Gymnastics, you will work within the Recreation Division at Gordon Head Recreation Centre. You will deliver assigned programs under a Recreation Programmer or Program Technician. Your focus includes direct instruction, class content, participant welcome, and program organization.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction for assigned gymnastics programs
Lead engaging classes for varying ages and abilities
Prepare equipment and organize class spaces
Welcome participants and offer accurate feedback
Keep program areas organized, clean, and protected
Requirements: Grade 10 completion
Three months’ experience in related instruction
Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector check
Emergency First Aid and CPR-C may be required
Ability to work primarily Saturday shifts
Bring gymnastics instruction, safety awareness, and supportive communication to recreation programs serving children and youth in Saanich.
