We are seeking the Journeyman Millwright to join our team at our Brooks facility.ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresInstall, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment (e.G., pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, generators) according to layout plans using hand and power toolsInspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctionsInstall, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controlsAdjust machinery and repair or replace defective partsOperate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or setupClean,



lubricate and perform other routine maintenance on machineryConstruct foundations for machinery or direct others to construct foundationsAssemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipmentRequirementsCompletion of college/CEGEP/vocational or industrial mechanics (Millwright); Red Seal Endorsement isan asset3 or more years in a maintenance function; hands-on support of operations and maintenance teams; including time asa millwright/industrial mechanic apprenticeLeadership of a multi-disciplinary work group during operating and turnaround situations (asset)Technical strength with good people skills and planningBasic computer, written and verbal communication skillsRotating and stationary equipment maintenance experienceFoundation in preventive and predictive maintenance systemsRPS/RCM maintenance troubleshooting techniquesSuperior skills within your area of expertiseWork site environment: Noisy, odors, hot, cold/refrigerated.Earn competitive wage: $43.55 - $44.80 per hour.Note: Applicants may be required to complete a pre-hire medical and drug and alcohol test.
