As an Environmental Services Assistant, you will execute routine repairs and minor maintenance operations. Your work supports residents’ homes through repairs, cleaning, and outdoor upkeep. The position includes doors, locks, light fixtures, drains, faucets, painting, and seasonal snow removal.
Key Responsibilities: Repair doors, locks, window screens, and blinds
Replace light bulbs, sockets, and switches
Unclog drains and fix leaking faucets and toilets
Patch, paint, caulk, sweep, dust, mop, and vacuum
Maintain outdoor areas and shovel snow and ice
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow oral and written English instructions
Knowledge of Joint Occupational Health and Safety regulations
Knowledge aligned with WCB and CCAL Act requirements
Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
Apply maintenance, plumbing, cleaning, and outdoor upkeep skills while supporting AgeCare residents with dignity, respect, and compassion.
