The Upper Canada District School Board seeks an Educational Assistant under Principal supervision and in consultation with Learning Resource and classroom teachers. You will support individual or groups of students in academic and integrated classrooms. The work includes special education programs addressing behavioural, communication, intellectual, or physical needs.
Key Responsibilities: Support student goals outlined in Individual Education Plans
Implement and monitor therapeutic and behaviour management programs
Maintain student progress, behaviour, and program records
Support adaptive technology, sign language, braille,



and communication methods
Supervise students throughout school environments for safety
Requirements: Secondary school diploma and qualifying college diploma
Knowledge of students’ social, emotional, and physical needs
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to remain calm and non-confrontational under pressure
High confidentiality, diplomacy, tact, and discretion
Bring educational support, student communication, behaviour management, and special education knowledge to UCDSB schools in Almonte.
