Covenant Health seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for its 32-bed Unit 42 General Surgery program. The role serves patients across general, gynecological, orthopedic, ENT, and plastic surgery. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while practicing to full scope. Person-centred, culturally protected, and inclusive care remains central to communication with patients, families, and colleagues. The position is regular part time with days, nights, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver holistic care and support to patients and families
Apply nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, and critical thinking




Coordinate care activities within the licensed scope
Orient, coach, mentor, and support learners
Contribute to safety and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent
Active Alberta practical nurse registration
Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Level C certification
At least one year surgical or acute care experience
Recent surgical preceptorship may meet experience requirements
