This educator leads activities supporting children’s intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development. Programs range from infant care through out-of-school care. The work includes observing children, communicating progress, supporting hygiene, and maintaining secure learning environments.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement child-care programs supporting development
Lead stories, songs, games, art, music, and physical activities
Plan environments protecting children’s health, security, and well-being
Assess children’s abilities, interests, needs, and progress




Build team-oriented relationships with coworkers and community providers
Requirements: Alberta Child Development Certificate, Level 1
Valid Standard Child Care or Level C First Aid
Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check within six months
Knowledge of child development principles and early education practices
Ability to lift children and equipment up to 50 pounds
Bring creative communication, child development knowledge, and safety-focused care to children and families at Kepler Academy College Plaza.
