Lead inclusive before and after school programming at YMCA BC in Vancouver, using child guidance and activity planning skills. This is a permanent, part-time position.
As a School Age Leader, you will support children ages 5–12 in a welcoming YMCA program. Plan activities, provide individualized support, guide behaviour, and maintain secure spaces. Work alongside staff, families, schools, and community partners to support participation and belonging.
Key Responsibilities: Design and lead inclusive indoor and outdoor activities
Supervise children and guide positive behaviour
Support care plans and maintain enhanced ratios
Build relationships with families and community partners
Prepare nutritious snacks and maintain program spaces
Requirements: At least 19 years of age
Experience working with children ages 5–12
Emergency First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Twenty hours of relevant child development, guidance, or nutrition training
Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
