This Registered Practical Nurse position serves a 28-bed general internal medicine unit. You will provide direct patient and family-centered care while developing expertise across respiratory medicine, oncology, palliative care, and geriatrics. The role emphasizes assessments, medication administration, collaboration, and timely responses to changing patient needs.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient and family-centered general medicine care
Complete physical assessments for admitted patients
Administer medications and manage wounds, IVs, and drains
Attend nursing rounds and patient or family meetings




Collaborate with doctors, pharmacists, and interprofessional teams
Requirements: Current good-standing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Graduate of a CNO-approved Practical Nursing program
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Two years of acute care experience preferred
Robust assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Use practical nursing expertise, sound judgment, and compassionate communication to support complex general medicine patients at Mount Sinai Hospital.
