Share ceremony, Indigenous knowledge, and teachings with The Family Centre’s children, families, staff, and community members. Support culturally grounded practice through relationship and guidance.
As a Knowledge Holder, you will work within sîtôskam iyiniwatisiwin, the Indigenous Practice Framework. You will support ceremony-informed and trauma-informed practice through ceremony, land-based teachings, circle processes, and relational accountability. The work strengthens organizational capacity and respectful relationships with Elders, Knowledge Holders, and ceremonial leaders.
Key Responsibilities: Integrate the Indigenous Practice Framework into agency service delivery
Provide ceremony-based teachings, training, and experiential learning
Teach nehiyaw language, Four Natural Laws, and circle processes
Coach families,



staff, and community members on protocols
Facilitate healing and planning circles focused on relationships
Requirements: Commitment to Indigenous ways of being, ceremony, and practice
Community experience with service users and service providers
Experience working within multidisciplinary collaborative teams
Solid nehiyaw language understanding or willingness to learn
Trauma-informed skills supporting people impacted by trauma
Bring ceremony, nehiyaw language, relational accountability, and culturally grounded guidance to The Family Centre’s community work.
