Provide safe resident care at AgeCare Samac in Oshawa, applying nursing judgment and interpersonal skills in a permanent casual position. Coordinate care while supporting resident safety, dignity, and individuality.
The Registered Nurse reports to the Director of Care and collaborates on care meeting individual resident needs. This position requires geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing knowledge, including activation, nursing, and personnel administration. You will support AgeCare values of respect, teamwork, and quality.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate nursing and other resident services
Lead shift reports with the health care team
Communicate changes in residents' conditions
Maintain charts according to policies and standards
Review and process physician orders promptly
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing background
Knowledge of applicable nursing home legislation
Registration with the provincial registry in positive standing
Knowledge of Provincial College nursing standards
Bring nursing expertise, care coordination, and resident safety focus to AgeCare Samac's long-term care team in Oshawa.
